Please take the time to review both pre and post care instructions for optimal results for your treatments!
Facials
Pre:
Avoid Sun Exposure
Avoid Scrubs or Retinol & Retinoid Products
Inform your esthetician with any current skincare products, medications, or medical conditions you have before the treatment
Post:
Wear SPF Daily
Avoid Swimming, sweating, or apply water or steam to your face
Avoid makeup for the rest of the day
Avoid touching or picking at your skin
Stay Hydrated
Lash Lift and Tint
Pre:
Please do not wear eye makeup or mascara day of appointment
Refrain from using oil-based makeup remover the night before
Avoid a second cup of caffeine, it is important that your eyes remain calm during your appointment
Post:
Avoid getting lashes wet
Refrain from sleeping on your face
Avoid using skincare products near the eye and forehead area for 24 hours
Reduce the amount of oil-based products
Waxing
Pre:
Face Waxing: NO acne treatments, retinol/retinoid product use, chem peels, excessive sun exposure, laser treatment
Body Waxing: Hair must be 1/4 inches long, exfoliate 1-2 days prior
Take a pain reliever for comfort
Post:
Exfoliate 2-3 days after appointment
Avoid the sun
Avoid touching
Avoid sweating, steam, hot water
Wear loose fitted clothing
Permanent Makeup
Pre:
Avoid botox / filler / facial injections (1 month prior)
No chemical peels (1 month prior)
No retinol or face creams containing acids
Avoid excess sweating on the day of the procedure
Avoid tanning / sunburn / sunbeds on the day of the procedure
Avoid waxing or tinting the eyebrows 3 days of the procedure
Do not take vitamin E, fish oil, ibuprofen, aspirin and niacin 48 hours before the procedure
No alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before the procedure
Discontinue use of lash/brow growth serums
Must be off Accutane for at least 1 year
Post:
No water on brows for 4 hours
No excessive sweating for 3 days
Swelling/ Redness usually subsides after a couple hours( Tylenol can be taken if needed)
For 2 days avoid eating shellfish or any food that can potentially lead to an allergic reaction
How to care for your new brows (for 7 days or until scabs are completely gone):
Very quick shower
Do not let shower directly hit brows.
Quick face washing is OK. Use room temp water and very mild/gentle cleanser without rubbing brows. Gently pat dry.
Keep brow area dry (avoid soaking in water for long; ex. Swimming/sauna etc.)
For normal to dry skin: After 24 hours apply ointment (make sure it’s a very thin layer so brows can breathe) 2 times a day
For oily skin: Dry heal for 3 days and then apply ointment
No makeup, lotion or facial products/cleansers on or near brows
Subjective effect on different individuals, e.g. skin types that affect the attachment of color. Most clients will need 2 sessions, few will only need 1. Some will need a 3rd session to complete the look especially clients with oily skin.
Signs and symptoms of infection: Including but not limited to, redness, swelling, tenderness of the procedure site, red streaks going from procedure site towards the heart, elevated body temperature, or purulent drainage. Please seek medical care if you have these indications.
